As Summer Heats Up, Snow Cones Cool Down

Bills can skyrocket over the summer months with possible air-conditioning costs, rising gas prices, and entertainment with the kids at home. It seems as though the most inviting ideas always cost money. However, investing in a snow cone machine can help cut back on some costs this time around.

Having the kids out of school usually means they’ll be looking for something fun to do. Those that have a snow cone machine at home can simply break it out at will and create some fun with very little expense. The syrup is likely already on hand, and fairly easy to find otherwise. There is no need to pack everyone up in the car and head off and expend a tank full of gas. Just stay at home and cool off in the kitchen.

However, whether it is broken, or non-existent, a home without air conditioning can be ripe with hot temperatures and hot tempers. Cool things down by using the snow cone machine and grinding up some ice.

When it is hot, but not sweltering, get the kids outdoors for some fresh air. Take the machine outside and let it run in the porch or on the deck. For kids that are messy or are more likely to wear their treats on their faces than actually eat them, this is the ideal time to let them run around and drip as much as they want in the grass. If kids are out playing in the sprinkler or a kiddy pool, the clean-up will practically take care of itself!
